Natasha Richardson has died, a spokesman for the family said.
The 45-year-old actress suffered brain injuries after a ski accident on a beginner slope in Canada on Monday. The difficult decision to pull her off life support was made this afternoon by family and close friends — Mom Vanessa Redgrave, husband Liam Neeson, aunt Lynn Redgrave, sister Joely Richardson, ex-husband Robert Fox and sons Michael and Daniel.
The following statement was just released: “Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time.”
